Notional Copy Section 4
We create Notional Copy during the earlier stages of wireframing to define broad-spectrum vibes and test ideas for final headlines and brand-differentiating text.

Years ago, at this key point, content creation would not have started yet in a web design project. Today, we know that’s a terrible way to tell a story.

Se find that early in the wireframe exercise is the perfect time to start seeing a site as a whole and understand how Design, UX, and Content will come together in the end.

How we go about actually writing Notional Copy really depends on the project. Sometimes, it’ll be a simple indicator like “Headline about core values goes here” or “20-word paragraph that summarizes the product here”.

Other times, if we’ve gained a clear understanding of your brand and where we’re going by this stage, your notional copy may be more detailed.
