“Content first” is nice. Content always is better.
“Content first” is one of those revelatory phrases of the day that sounds smart and is, honestly, a pretty great approach for a web design project. But “content always”? Oh, ho…that is better in so many ways.
Where content-first thinking implores us to write websites before we’ve designed them, content-always thinking asks us to design websites as a full team of interconnected disciplines. Because that’s what a great digital experience is: design, content, UX and development working together to create a cohesive experience that feels right and hangs together on every page.
